Terms of Use

1. Accounts and Game Save Data

Mappia allows you to play as a guest or create an account using third-party logins (Apple or Google). If you play as a guest without logging in, your game progress, coin balance, and power-up inventory are stored locally on your device. If you delete the App or lose your device while playing as a guest, your data will be permanently lost. We highly recommend signing in to sync and protect your progress.

2. In-App Purchases and Virtual Currency (Coins)

Mappia offers the ability to purchase virtual currency ("Coins") via in-app purchases. Coins can be used to acquire in-game items such as power-ups (Compass, Radar, Auto-find) or to refill your in-game Lives.

• Payment: Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at the confirmation of purchase.
• Consumables: Coins and Power-ups are consumable items. Once purchased and added to your inventory, they are non-refundable. Using Coins in the game permanently deducts them from your balance.
• No Real-World Value: Virtual Coins have no real-world monetary value and cannot be exchanged for real money, goods, or services outside of the App.

3. Fair Play and Acceptable Use

We want Mappia to be a fun and fair experience for everyone. You agree not to:

• Use hacks, cheats, exploits, or third-party software to alter game data, coin balances, or bypass level restrictions.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code or game assets of the App.
• Sell, trade, or transfer your Mappia account or Coin balance to another individual.

Note: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that are found violating these rules or engaging in fraudulent in-app purchases, without any refund.

4. Intellectual Property Rights

Game Content: The Mappia App, including its illustrations, character designs, levels, maps, code, and branding, is exclusively owned by the Mappia Team and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not distribute or use our artwork outside of the app without explicit permission.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. While we strive to provide a bug-free experience, we do not guarantee that the game will be uninterrupted or error-free.

In no event shall the Mappia Team be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the App, including but not limited to lost game progress or unrecoverable virtual currency due to unlinked accounts.

6. Third-Party Services

Mappia utilizes third-party services, including Apple and Google (for authentication and payments) and Supabase (for database and cloud saves). Your use of the App is also subject to the terms and conditions of these respective third parties.

7. Changes to the Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting the updated Terms. Your continued use of the App after any changes signifies your acceptance of the revised Terms.
